Morrison's Academy design.
The Challenge.
Morrison’s Academy in the beautiful location of Crieff, is the leading Perthshire independent school for boys and girls aged 3 to 18. The school felt that their branding had lost focus and had no clear identity or guidelines, it was also clear that their primary promotional materials did not reflect the fun, happy and successful nature of the school.
The Solution.
The first stage of the process was to develop a visual tone. Moodboards were developed covering aspects such as style of imagery, colour and typography, which allowed staff, stakeholders and even pupils to supply input into the proposed tone solution. Feedback from the moodboards allowed us to develop a visual look and feel which would become the brand style. This style incorporated a grid design featuring reportage style photography and quotes from parents and pupils. A brand guidelines document ensured brand consistency in all future materials. A suite of documents, signage, stationery and a website were created.
The Result.
The rollout of the new brand style not only uplifted staff but also gave the school the professional and friendly appearance they required. Documents such as the School prospectus have had positive feedback from prospective parents, especially when they visit the school and understand that it is an accurate representation of everyday life.
